Are you looking to build a career where financial expertise meets innovation? As an Underwriting Support Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring customers receive their loans seamlessly. You'll be involved in key stages of the lending journey, serving as the final checkpoint before loan completion.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive view of the underwriting process, working cross-functionally with teams across the business. You’ll develop a strong foundation in underwriting while making a tangible impact on customer experience. With a clear career trajectory, this position is ideal for someone ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a dynamic, high-performing environment.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinate and execute completion tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Conduct security checks, identifying and escalating issues where necessary, to deliver a smooth journey and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Monitor completion processes, identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
Document new processes and share updates with key stakeholders to drive consistency.
Contribute in team discussions, providing insights, raising issues, and offering solutions.
Work closely with external stakeholders, such as solicitors and third-party lenders, to resolve issues quickly and collaboratively.
Communicate effectively across teams, using various platforms to ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
Job requirements
What about you, what do you need to bring/have
Previous experience in an administrative, office-based role.
Strong attention to detail within an administrative capability
A “can do” attitude to problem-solving in a dynamic and consistently developing environment
A keen learner who wants to embark on a career in mortgage underwriting
Be excited to take on a role that will increase your exposure to operational processes in a fast-growing Fintech business
A team player who naturally wants to involve themselves in supporting others
Things that would be nice for you to have (please do not let any of these points prevent you from applying):
Experience in a mortgage completion or financial servicing role
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a finance company

£24,000- £26,000 base salary, dependent on experience
