About the Role:

We're looking for students who have a keen interest in fintech to join us as interns! This is your chance to work side-by-side with our innovative team. You'll be knee-deep in projects and get hands-on work experience, levelling up your skills and making connections along the way.

We have an internship opportunity within our 🏅Operations🏅 department:

You will be working in the Operations team alongside our Operational Excellence Associate, driving data-backed improvements across the board. As an Operations Strategy Intern, these are some of the things you will do daily:

• Identify key inefficiencies across our entire Operations chain, from Sales to Underwriting to Customer Service: you can do this via shadowing the team, analysing data, or speaking with relevant stakeholders;

• Formulate and prioritise hypotheses and solutions: what will give us the maximum returns for the efforts required?

• Obtain, clean, and process data into actionable insights - and come to the wider team with practical solutions;

• Present your business case to support your suggested solutions, and assist with the implementation as an Operations stakeholder;

• Create and maintain documents to record best practices, and train relevant stakeholders in using new tools and processes, leveraging your strong stakeholder management skills.

What we are looking for:

• Strong analytical background with experience in using data to inform decision-making.

• Experience using Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis and visualisation is a plus;

• Well-rounded and balanced background including demonstrated leadership abilities;

• Ability to think in logical, structured ways, alongside the creativity to look beyond the obvious solutions;

• Someone proactive and who takes ownership of their projects from start to completion, while remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment;

• A strong desire to learn and a ‘give it a go’ attitude, alongside solid collaboration and communication skills;

• We are not looking for specific degree disciplines - all qualified applicants welcomed.

Our Interview Process:

Stage 1:

Here we will get to know each other, understand what you’re looking for from your internship experience and be able to tell you a lot more about the company!

Stage 2: 

☕ Meet the team at our London office!

This will be an in-person interview with the hiring manager that you will be working closely with during your internship. You can also meet the team and gain insights into what it’s like at Selina day to day!
