Job description
About Selina
At Selina Finance, our mission is to provide exceptional value with simple and flexible financial products. We’re achieving this by building a next-generation digital lender targeting homeowners across the UK. More than £2tn of equity value is locked up in UK homes, while homeowners still need to rely on high-interest-rate consumer loans, credit cards, or overdrafts. We believe this is unfair and unnecessary. We offer a financing product unlike anything else out there, one that is as flexible as a current account, as affordable as a mortgage, and as easy to apply for as a consumer loan.
We are building an incredible team and culture of high performance, development, reward and recognition, ready for the next phase of our adventure, and this is where you come in!
We have quite a few things to be proud of:
🌏 We have 19 different nationalities across our London + Manchester offices
🏆 Voted as ‘one of the fastest-growing businesses in the UK’ by Business Leader Growth 500 for 2025
🏆 Voted top 30 of ‘Tempos 100 best start-ups to work for 2023’
🦾 Disability Confident Committed employer
🏆 BCorp Certified

We are hiring for a product manager for our new customer platform, a greenfield product surface that will become the centre of the Selina customer experience. Starting with servicing our existing customers, you will lead the strategy, discovery, and execution of building Selina’s first mobile app, with the goal of evolving it to a successful re-engagement and cross-sell channel.
You will work closely with engineering, growth, credit risk, and ops to define what we build first, how we measure success, and how this platform can evolve to become the engine room of Selina’s future growth.
What will you be doing?
Discovery & Strategy
Lead customer and market discovery to understand customer pain points and identify the markets where Selina’s customer platform can not only compete but win.
Define the 6-month MVP scope and outline a compelling 12-18-month roadmap.
Identify high-impact features to drive engagement, reduce support volume and enable repeat borrowing initially, with a view of how the feature set can expand over time.
Product Ownership
Own the end-to-end mobile app experience from delivering an MVP to mapping out the strategy for the platform over the next 18 months.
Translate insights into customer and business value while collaborating closely with design, engineering, and operations.
Prioritise ruthlessly to balance momentum with customer impact.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering and product design to build a brand new digital touchpoint for our customers.
Work closely with the Ops, Growth, and Credit teams to ensure product goals align with business objectives.
Measurement & Iteration
Define and track success metrics
Continuously learn from user data and feedback to iterate and improve.
Platform Foundations
Establish scalable mobile platform principles (e.g., app architecture, design system reuse).
Ensure the app can evolve from servicing-only to a broader product surface over time.
Job requirements
About you:
Have 3–5 years of product experience building and launching customer-facing digital products.
Strong discovery skills: user research, problem framing, and value hypothesis development.
Ability to define greenfield initiatives within a broader business context
Cross-functional leadership, especially with design and engineering teams.
Customer-first mindset with a bias toward measurable outcomes
Experience working in fintech preferable, or on products that prioritise high customer engagement.
Exposure to cross-sell, upsell, or retention strategies via product experiences.
Understanding of mobile platform constraints and performance considerations.
Familiarity with push notifications, app analytics and mobile-first designs.
Experience specifically with mobile apps (iOS/Android) and app release cycles
What we offer:
£70,000 - £90,000 base salary, dependant on experience
25 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays
30 days’ work-from-anywhere allowance
Bi-annual Bonus (discretionary)

Monthly socials
Free access to mental health support via ‘Spill’
A choice of benefits that work for you, courtesy of our benefits platform, ‘Thanks Ben’
Annual £60 cycle allowance for Santander cycles or Evans (via ‘Thanks Ben’)
Workplace Nursery Benefit, allowing eligible nursery costs to be paid via salary sacrifice
